Pilixo submits endpoint binaries of our products to anti-virus and anti-malware venders as part of our release process in an effort to prevent unwanted blocking, deletion and quarantine of our solutions by endpoint security products. However, to ensure our products operate without interruption, we highly recommend admins create exclusions for these binaries.
Typically, AV and AM products allow admins to create recursive folder exclusions. If your endpoint security products allow for recursive folder exclusions, the following entries will exclude our installation and working directory from interference by these security products:
Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\plx
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\plxdata
Windows 7 and later:
C:\ProgramData\plx
C:\ProgramData\plxdata
Mac OSX:
/Library/Application Support/plx/
